Group Tutoring

GROUP TUTORING

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Our Group Tutoring is designed in a unique way:

- Students sit around a U shaped table with their tutor sitting in the middle

- The tutor works with one student, then moves to the next one

- At each given time the tutor is working with only one student

- Each student gets an opportunity for a one-on-one interaction with the tutor

- The tutor spreads his/her time evenly among his/her students

- The tutor can see all the students at the same time

- This setup reduces the opportunity for the students to talk to each other

- After a few years of trying different setups, this setup has given us the best results

At Bravo we try to make Groups small so the students get more time with the tutor.  We have two types of Group Tutoring:

1. Small Group:  Each tutor has 2-3 students

2. Medium Group:  Each tutor has 3-5 students

Advantages of Group Tutoring:

- Works really well with younger students, specially when studying math

- Less expensive than Private tutoring

- The students still get the advantage of one-on-one interaction with the tutor

We do not recommed Group Tutoring for the following situations:

- When studying difficult subjects, such as Calculus, since the student needs more time with the tutor

- If the student is more than a year behind

- If the student has learning diability

For these situations we strongly recommend Private one-on-one tutoring.
